Terms of Use
Last updated 16 September 2026.
1. Agreement
These terms apply between you and Jaymin Rajgor ("we", "us"), the maker of Copybar, when you download or use the Copybar apps for macOS, iOS and iPadOS. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
2. Apple's terms come first
Copybar is distributed through the App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app, and where anything here conflicts with it, Apple's terms prevail. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app, and has no obligation to provide support for it.
3. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Copybar on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms and Apple's Family Sharing rules where they apply. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source of the app, except where local law expressly allows it.
4. Trial and purchase
Copybar includes a 30-day free trial with every feature unlocked. No account or payment method is required to start it. When the trial ends, the app keeps working and shows your 25 most recent text clips; nothing is deleted, and buying Premium later restores access to your full history.
Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The launch price is $9.99 and will rise to $19.99. Whatever you pay is final: there is no recurring charge and no expiry. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
5. Your content
Everything Copybar captures is yours. We claim no rights over it, and we have no access to it. You are responsible for what you copy and for the consequences of storing it. If you work with material that must not be retained, use app exclusions and capture pause, and verify the behaviour before relying on it.
6. AI access
Copybar can expose a local, read-only server that AI tools on your Mac may connect to. It is off by default and you choose when to enable it and which tools to connect. You are responsible for the tools you grant access to and for what those tools do with the data they read. We are not responsible for the behaviour, security or data handling of any third-party AI tool.
7. No warranty
Copybar is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. In particular, we do not warrant that the app will capture, retain or restore any specific item. Copybar is a convenience, not a backup. Do not rely on it as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Copybar. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
9. Changes to the app and these terms
We may update Copybar, add or remove features, and update these terms. If we change them materially, the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the revised terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using Copybar at any time by deleting it. We may terminate this licence if you breach these terms. Deleting the app removes its local database from that device.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gujarat, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
